Lisha Gu Violinist
Principal of MFC. Ms. Gu graduated from the Juilliard School with a Master degree. She was praised by the Chinese famous conductor Zheng Xiaoying as a very rare young talent in the violin performance when she made her first debut with Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of 12. After that, Ms. Gu continuously won many awards in international competitions such as the Carl Nielsen International Violin Competition, the Tchaikovsky Youth Violin Competition, Corpus Christi International Violin Competition and the Long Island Violin Competition.
During her study in America, she was selected as the principal violinist of the Symphony Orchestra of Juilliard School and was invited often by the Aspen Music Festival and the Litmos Music Festival. She toured with her friend JP. Jofre, an bandoneon artist, for his US nationwide tour and participate in his university master lectures.
At the end of 2016, Ms. Gu returned to China and joined the MFC. In 2018, she released her debut album Wind and Sea.
